A Most Remarkable Forgery

Lady Holmes and Mrs Hudson return in this cosy sapphic historical mystery which reimagines the Sherlock universe.

'Please, Inspector, we never let our sensibilities stand in the way of facts'.

Katy Hudson and Lady Violet Holmes have settled into life at Musgrave Hall — solving Sherrinford’s odd crimes, arguing through each case, and avoiding the tension simmering between them. But when a stranger arrives with a warning meant for Katy, the pair are plunged into a conspiracy which brings them dangerously close to a criminal league who will stop at nothing to get what they want.

When Katy’s brother is abducted and a man wearing her dead husband’s face appears in London, Katy and Violet follow a trail of ciphers, impostors, and betrayal that leads them back to Musgrave Hall — and to a truth more shocking than either imagined.

Now Katy must decide who she trusts, what she’s willing to risk, and which version of her future she’s brave enough to claim.

Fast, clever, and emotionally rich, The Remarkable Forgery is perfect for fans of The Mitford Murders, Miss Clara Vale, and Miss Austen Investigates.
