AI and the Future Church

The AI era may be the greatest disruption the church has ever faced, and its greatest opportunity to reach more people. Carey Nieuwhof shows you how to build a ministry ready for today’s culture and whatever comes next.

The AI era may be the greatest disruption the church has ever faced, and its greatest opportunity to reach more people. The disruption isn’t coming. It’s here. The question is whether your church is ready.

Work is changing fast. Mental health is declining. Truth itself feels up for grabs. And people are searching desperately for something real. That something is Jesus — and your church is where they’ll find him.

Here’s the hope: a world growing more artificial by the day will produce people desperately hungry for what’s real. For genuine community. For unchanging truth. For human connection that actually means something.

But the church that thrives in this moment isn’t just any church. It’s the church that rethinks Sundays to build deeper community. That shores up its finances before giving drops as unemployment rises. Whose leaders fortify their integrity before deception becomes so widespread that it seems unstoppable.

The church’s future direction is human connection. And while the rest of the world scrambles to figure out what that means in an age of artificial intelligence, the church has been answering that question for two thousand years. You may be more prepared for this moment than you think.

In AI and the Future Church, Carey Nieuwhof gives you the three shifts every church leader needs to make now:

Make Sundays Non-Downloadable — build the authentic community AI will never replicate

Build the Shock Absorbers Now — create real capacity for the financial and mental health crises already heading toward your congregation

Fortify Your Integrity — lead from character so that when people search for what’s true in a sea of deception, your church holds the answer

As the world becomes more artificial, the church’s calling is to become more human.

You don’t need certainty to lead through this. You need clarity.

Carey Nieuwhof shows you how to build a ministry ready for today’s culture and whatever comes next.
