Break the Rule

Charlie King:

As free-spirited as he is chaotic, Charlie's rules to art and relationships are as follows: 1) get messy and 2) move on to the next piece. He lives for the thrill of the new, on canvas or in bed, and just because he's over 30 doesn't mean he needs to settle down. When a pretty boy wearing a scowl and a skirt upends Charlie's life, he brings one more rule: don't fall in love. But when feelings splatter and paint spills, Charlie has to decide if his rules still apply.

Eden Montgomery:

Nothing in life is permanent. That Eden knows to be true. A safe haven baby abandoned into a broken foster care system that didn't know how to handle a queer, gender non-conforming kid, Eden's used to being discarded and used. At twenty years old, Eden's clawed his way out of his traumatic past with paint chipped nails, a myriad of invisible scars, and mismatched tattoos. He doesn't want or need anyone new in his life, but when a free spirited artist who isn't put off by Eden's prickly exterior finds his way past Eden's defenses and into his heart, there's only one thing left for Eden to figure out, if he's willing to risk everything for love or if he's going to do what he's always done—run.
