Christian Meditation & Affirmations

Are you struggling with your Christian identity?

Before Jesus (BC — before the death of Christ), we lived under the consequences of Adam and Eve's sin. Now, in this AD era (after the death of Christ), our lives are shaped by the consequences of Jesus' finished work.

Let me say that again:

You get to live in the consequences of what Jesus has already done.

So when sickness comes, or when the thought arises that somehow you caused it or brought it on yourself, remember this: You are no longer subject to the consequences of a fallen identity. It doesn't even matter if it was your fault. You are now subject to the consequences of Jesus' finished work on the cross.

Your life is about dealing with the fallout of what happened at the cross.

Think of it like this: When you were a teenager and made a mistake, you spent weeks beating yourself up while dealing with the fallout of your own decision. In the same way, once you have confessed Jesus as your Savior, you now get to deal with the fallout of His decision — the finished work of the cross. That fallout includes access to abundant life.

How do we actually live in that reality?

We practice abiding.

Discover Your Identity in Jesus' Words

This Christian meditation and affirmation focuses on the words Jesus spoke while He was on earth. It's a simple practice of rumination: taking His words, thinking about them, focusing on them, and chewing on them until every bit of glory is released into your life.

Jesus is the most important figure in human history.

He is also the most important person in your life.

I don't need to know who you are, where you're from, who you're related to, or what you've been through to know this one thing: Jesus is the single most important person in your life. And His words are life-changing.

Let's discover together how His living words can impact your life today.
