Concrete Roses

Bestselling author Jahquel J. delivers a gripping dark romance packed with suspense, cartel danger, forbidden love, crime-fueled intrigue, and a relentless quest for family amid a shadowy underworld.

Rose’s sister, Denise, went missing a year ago, and finding her has become Rose’s sole mission. Denise wouldn’t have vanished without a word. For the past year, Rose has obsessively investigated every aspect of her sister’s life—where she went, who she spent time with—digging deeper than anyone else would dare. Her search eventually leads her to one name: Dane Amante. A name she knows all too well. The Amante Cartel is notorious for its brutality, and worse, they’re connected to a secretive, powerful organization known as “The INC.” As a professional burglar, Rose is no stranger to slipping into places where she doesn’t belong. Breaking into homes is second nature to her—find what she needs, get out, and disappear without a trace. This time, it should be no different. All she has to do is sneak into Dane Amante’s estate, gather anything that might lead to her sister, and leave. Simple enough, right? Except, Dane Amante’s home is easy to break into—but nearly impossible to escape.
