Halloween House Party

THE PARTY'S OVER. THE POWER'S OUT. THE CLOCK'S ABOUT TO STRIKE ONE. AGAIN. AND THE KILLER ISN'T FINISHED.

Midnight at Rho Iota Pi was supposed to be the climax of the Halloween party of the decade.

Instead, there's a dead girl on the costume-contest stage, three hundred guests stampeding into a blizzard, and a live power line blocking the road. The phones barely work. The police can't get up the hill. And somewhere inside the Victorian mansion, a murderer in a skull-faced costume is having the time of his life.

Ethan Dunleavy is used to being the guy who saves everybody. He's six-foot-four, built like a linebacker (because he is one), and spectacularly bad at leaving people behind. Unfortunately, protecting the guy he's falling for is getting harder when every trip through the house turns up another body.

Adam Kessler built the haunted house's lights, cameras, and spectacularly expensive special effects. He knows every hidden door, every wire, and every trick the building can pull. What he doesn't know is how to keep Ethan from running toward every scream. Or how he's supposed to think straight when the enormous, gorgeous idiot keeps kissing him.

And then the clocks fall back.

One o'clock happens twice. Somewhere in that extra hour, the killer has an alibi that shouldn't exist. The evidence is hiding in plain sight. And the closer Ethan and Adam get to figuring it out, the more obvious it becomes that this nightmare isn't nearly as random as it looks.

The DJ is still playing. The lacrosse guys are still making terrible decisions. The bodies are piling up. And apparently even an active murder investigation isn't enough to stop two idiots from falling spectacularly in love.

THE KILLER KNOWS THE HOUSE. THE CLOCK IS RUNNING. AND NEITHER OF THEM IS LEAVING WITHOUT THE OTHER.
