This is the true account of an eight year old Salish Indian boy who, while fishing for his family's supper, was kidnapped by a man with a badge. He and other indian children were stolen from their homes without their parents' knowledge and taken away to school where they were forced to learn the ways of the white man.

Here is the story of his surviving Fort Shaw Indian School until he and other children made a daring escape through the mountains of Montana to find a pathway to their homes and the joyous reunion of the "ghost children" with their families.
