Sworn

I was sent to make her disappear. I brought her home instead.

Isabel Mendes cleans a solicitor's office in Peckham five nights a week. She keeps her head down, sends money home to her mother, and tells nobody what she saw in that boardroom the night before Sal Ferrante was shot.

I have been the Ferrante family's fixer for eleven years. I find the problem, and then there is no problem. It has never once required me to think about it afterwards.

Then I found her. A woman nobody would miss, who says exactly what she means and unnerves every person in this family by doing it.

And I did not make the call.

Now there are two organisations hunting her, and only one of them is mine. She sleeps four feet away in a motel on the A20 and asks me questions nobody has asked me in a decade. She had her chance to run. She took it. She came back.

I swore an oath to this family. I am about to find out what it is worth.

SWORN is book two of The Ferrante Family, a dark sapphic mafia romance series set in South London. It reads as a complete standalone with a guaranteed happy ending: no cliffhanger, no cheating, and two women who choose each other with their eyes open.

For readers who love: captor and captive with the consent on the page, protector and protected, forced proximity, on the run, only one bed, a class gap, and a stoic fixer undone by the one woman who actually sees her.

Content note: dark contemporary romance featuring violence, references to organised crime, and explicit sexual content between adult women. Each book ends happily. Intended for readers 18 and over.
