The Cactus Navy

The battle for the Pacific begins in the jungles of Guadalcanal…

Whoever controls the Solomon Islands controls the vital sea lanes between the United States and Australia. When Imperial Japan seizes Tulagi and begins constructing a strategic airfield on Guadalcanal, the balance of the Pacific War hangs in the balance.

America must strike first—or risk losing the entire theater.

As a massive invasion force prepares for the first major U.S. offensive of the war, Lieutenant Commander Art Turner and the decorated crew of USS Bull Shark are assigned a dangerous covert mission deep behind enemy lines.

Turner and an elite team of Marine Raiders must slip ashore on Guadalcanal, locate a hidden coastwatcher, and identify the exact moment America will launch its assault.

But the island is crawling with danger.

Enemy destroyers patrol the surrounding waters.

Japanese carrier aircraft scour the seas.

And inside the dense jungle waits an enemy that knows every shadow.

Cut off from support and hunted on land and sea, Turner and the Bull Shark must survive long enough to light the fuse that will ignite America's first major Pacific victory.

The battle for Guadalcanal has begun… and failure is not an option.
