The Filth

Formed in 1991 in the heart of Suffolk, England, an ancient county steeped in witchcraft and dark folklore, CRADLE OF FILTH have spent more than three decades forging their reputation as one of the world's most successful and uncompromising metal bands. Blending the cold, anti-authoritarian fury of black metal with the raw energy of classic thrash, their music is matched by an unmistakable artistic vision: gothic horror, vampiric bloodlust and unapologetic sexual hedonism.

Now, for the first time, founder, singer, lyricist and chief architect Dani Filth (né Davey) tells his extraordinary story in THE FILTH. His autobiography takes readers deep into the macabre lore that shaped his childhood, the controversies and conflicts encountered along the way, and his work beyond CRADLE OF FILTH, including Devilment, Temple Of The Black Moon, film and television.

Dark, vivid and unapologetically revealing, THE FILTH offers a fascinating journey into the life and imagination behind one of metal's most iconic figures.
