The Perfect Crime

They say the streets will chew you up and leave you for dead. Here a young girl’s dream is a mere memory. A bleak and hope-draining existence. A place where a man’s cruelty hides behind a veil of deceit and smiles. FBI agent Blake Wilder has spent her best years taking down the most depraved souls. Even though she has seen great evil, it has not taken away the sparks of hope she has. Hope that helps her endure and continue the fight for the good guys. When she receives a call from a detective in New Orleans regarding multiple missing women, she faces a perplexing case with no bodies, spanning multiple decades. The only clues to the potential crimes are shoes bound with a red bow on the beds of female victims, ones who are never heard from again. Upon arrival in the vibrant city, she is met with both appreciation and scorn by the police precinct. Unfazed by the unwelcoming environment, Blake searches for clues to find the missing women. From the swamplands to the marshlands, there are no concrete clues to the disappearances. It seems the perp has committed a series of perfect crimes. With no trails or even body parts to go on, the red ribbon case feels like an unsolvable riddle. One that only leads to dead ends and defeat. Deaths, desperation, and vanishing working girls. Some truths are to cover up the illusion of something far more sinister.
