At Ljómur, surrounded by mates, we saw firsthand how fate could rewrite lives in an instant. We never thought it would claim us too.

Everything was perfect. Bash was my peace, my home, and the one person who saw through every layer I hid behind. Until the day I shattered it all. Four years ago, I sent him away without explanation and forced him to believe our love had been a lie.

Now our group needs Bash's brilliant mind, and since the military believes I'm dead... I'm the perfect ghost to retrieve him.

When I agree to find him, I brace for hatred, rejection, protest, and tears. But all my practiced detachment and unbothered smiles don't prepare me for facing him again.

The Fates have dragged us back together, tearing open old wounds in a world on the brink of fallout. With the scars I bear and the secrets I keep, is it too late to reclaim what we lost? Or can a broken mate find his way back to the only heart that ever made him whole?
