Rot Girl Summer

My Best Friend's Exorcism meets Jennifer's Body in this bubblegum horror about an obsessive friendship that begins to rot—literally.

Three best friends. One last summer. Something ugly under the surface. What could possibly go wrong?

Fresh off graduation, roommates Chloe, Dani, and Lex rent a dirt-cheap lake house for a week of floaties, flirtations, and bad decisions. If Chloe plays her cards right, those flirtations and bad decisions could even lead to something more between her and Dani. There’s just one problem: Dani can’t keep her eyes off Lex…

But the Dry Creek Lake locals stare too long. And the water? It smells like something’s festering.

Lex slices her leg during a midnight swim, and the wound begins to rot at an unnatural speed. Then Dani disappears after a hookup and returns…wrong. As buried feelings bubble to the surface, Chloe scrambles to keep them together—patching wounds, making plans, trying to find a way out—but something ancient, fungal, and hungry is working against her.

Because the rot isn’t just in the house. It’s in her friends. And it wants to consume them from the inside out.
